🦷✨ Big Smiles Ahead! ✨🦷
Our elementary students have a wonderful opportunity to keep those smiles healthy and bright! We are excited to share that a complimentary dental check-up will be available for students and their families. This is a completely free, optional opportunity to help ensure our little ones have healthy teeth and happy smiles.

Weekly Recap Friday, September 4, 2026
Dear BES Families!
What an amazing start to the school year! Our first two days, September 3rd and 4th, were filled with energy, smiles, and the joy of welcoming our students back to the building. Classroom communities are already forming, and we are so proud of how quickly our students settled into their new routines.
Just a reminder we do not have school on Labor Day, Monday, September 7th and on Tuesday, September 8th at 5 pm there is a Fall Sports Parent Meeting for students interested in playing soccer and field hockey in grades 3-5 in the Cafeteria. After school sports are starting the week of September 14th!
Please be sure to update your child’s PowerSchool account and Free and Reduced lunch forms. Please consider completing the meal application even if you don't think your family will qualify. The return rate of these forms directly dictates our school's state and federal funding, meaning your participation helps secure essential budget dollars for all of our students.
Looking ahead, we want to share a quick update about our upcoming fall assessments. NWEA MAP Reading Fluency testing will take place the week of September 14th, followed by NWEA MAP Growth testing the week of September 21st. These assessments give us valuable data to support your child's unique learning journey, and teachers will share more specific details as their testing days approach.
Have a wonderful, relaxing 3-day weekend! We look forward to seeing all of our students back in the building and ready to learn on Tuesday, September 8th. Thank you for your continued support!
Best regards,
Paula Frank, BES Principal
