In November of each school year Berlin High School students "take over" the city government. Bills are proposed, discussed, and acted upon. In March of each school year Berlin High School students join hundreds of students from around New Hampshire and "take over" the state government.

Youth and Government Goals:

• Provide guidance, training, and experience in the theory and practice of determining public policy.
• Confirm the principles of democracy.
• Gain knowledge of the branches of government.
• Provide exposure to the importance of the democratic process, and the freedoms it protects.
