SCHEDULING RECOMMENDATIONS

  1. Seek to complete "Category A' requirements during the first three years of high school.
  2. Select courses in "Category B' which will compliment post-secondary career plans.
  3. Students enrolled under "full-time" status at Berlin High School will be required to take seven credits during each year of their high school program.
  4. One credit in English will be required in each of the four years of high school.

CLASSIFICATION

Class Assignments at Berlin High is dependent on accumulated credits and time. To be classified as a:

10th grader (sophomore), a student needs minimum of 4.5 credits and be in year 2 of attendance.
11th grader (junior), a student needs a minimum of 10.5 credits and be in year 3 of attendance.
12th grader (senior), a student needs a minimum of 18 credits and be in year 4 of attendance.

Credit tallies are done at the end of each school year only, not at the end of the first semester.
